Allianz Global Assistance Super Visa Insurance
Super Visa Insurance is a plan that provides an opportunity for Canadian citizens and permanent residents to reunite with their parents and grandparents who live outside the country for up to two years. The applicants of the Super Visa Insurance must submit proof that they have emergency medical travel insurance for a minimum of one year before arriving in Canada. Residents of Canada may purchase emergency medical insurance on behalf of their family members visiting them and are part of the Super Visa program. The sponsors should be well aware that in the event of any medical emergency to the visitors, they will be responsible for taking care of their medical expenses if they cannot pay for them.
Super Visa application requirements:
- The visitor must have a minimum emergency medical insurance coverage of CAD 100,000 that is valid for at least one year from the date of arrival.
- Must submit proof that medical insurance premium payment has been made.
- Letter from a grandchild or child inviting to visit them and promise to provide for them financially.

Coverage amount

An individual will not be eligible for Allianz Super Visa Insurance from Canadian LIC:
- If they have been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
- If they have been receiving treatment for a terminal illness (cancer) in the past three months.
- Requires assistance daily because of a medical condition
- If the individual is diagnosed with Stage 3 or Stage 4 cancer.
Refund policy
- If you cancel your trip to Canada entirely.
- If you return to your home country before the expiry date, a partial refund will be made for the unused days.
- If you insure yourself under a Canadian provincial medical plan.
